Intemperie CONNECTS AMBITIOUS ARTISTS WITH COLLECTORS LOCATED ALL OVER THE WORLD
Established in 2019 by Seb Melchor, an avid collector and patron of the arts, Intemperie provides a bridge between talented artists and collectors. Maintaining a global presence through studio visits, pop-up events, art fairs and online exhibitions, Intemperie provides an unique insight into the working practice of leading contemporary artists.
On a trip to Mexico in 2005, Melchor came across a magazine article entitled ‘La Intemperie Del Amor’ which translates as ‘Exposure to the Elements of Love’. These words had a deep impact on Melchor who believes that individuals can connect with an artwork in the same way a human can fall in love. You might not be able to explain why - the connection goes deeper, like an elemental force. With this in mind, Intemperie was born. A platform that exhibits works of art that evoke the same feeling.
Through a close working relationship with each artist, Intemperie promotes their practice from inception through to installation. Together with a multidisciplinary team of five, Intemperie is working with its platform on providing a dialogue between artists and collectors.
